From January 3rd through 7th, Sr. Clarice Suchy and more than 60 students from the campus ministry program at UTSA (University of Texas-San Antonio) had the opportunity to participate in the very inspirational SEEK 2017. Here is what Sr. Clarice had to say about the experience:
“SEEK is a conference for college students from across the United States, sponsored by the Fellowship of Catholic University Students (FOCUS). This year brought over 12, 500 college students to participate in the 5-day conference in San Antonio with the theme “What Moves You”. Each day included opportunities for mass and adoration, special morning sessions for men and women, and impact sessions on our faith and the call to be modern day disciples of Christ. In the evenings students also heard inspirational keynote speakers on topics related to evangelization and living out our faith in the world.
All were encouraged to recognize the call to greatness that each has uniquely received and to not be afraid to live out their faith on their college campuses.
For many of the students one of the highlights was Thursday evening’s time of adoration and reconciliation. Being with so many young people in prayer before the Blessed Sacrament was a truly moving experience.
I can testify that the young adults from UTSA who attended SEEK returned to their campus inspired, on fire to spread the gospel and become agents of transformation on their campuses.”
