Teresian Associates

Teresian Associates are lay women and men, married or single, so connected to the Teresian spirituality that they embody it in their own lives, collaborating in the Mission of the Society of St. Teresa of Jesus:

Inspired by St. Teresa of Jesus and St. Henry de Ossó
we Teresian Sisters are a community of consecrated women
who collaborate with others in bringing forth the reign of God.
Through prayer, education and evangelization,
we seek to know and love Jesus and to make Him known and loved by all.
We are called to be prophetic signs of God’s merciful love:
protecting Creation, proclaiming the dignity of all people, and defending justice,
in solidarity with the poor and marginalized.

We have been richly blessed by our Associates, who bring the gift of their own search to know and love Jesus to their families, to their place of work, and to the community. Through their commitment to personal prayer every day, they seek to be transformed in Christ, just as Teresa was. The Associates support us by their presence, and help our mission through their witness and through their own special gifts, supporting specific ministries and joining in our celebrations and other activities. The Society supports them by offering them days for renewal, reflection and prayer.
